Violet Richardson Award Winner
March 2026
Our Violet Richardson Award was given Leia Atendido. She is a student at Salesian College Preparatory High School. Liea is very involved in the student leadership program, SLAM- Student Leadership and Ministry. She is a busy student who is actively involved in encouraging spirit and cohesiveness across the entire school community.

Live Your Dream Award Winners
March 2026
Our Live Your Dream Award recipients were Bianca Gonzalez and Malaya Mahenderker. Both women expressed their gratitude for receiving the awards and told inspiring stories about working to improve their situations because they want to make better lives for their children. Bianca is interested in becoming a police officer and is working on an Administration of Justice degree at Contra Costa College. Malaya, also a student at Contra Costa College, has 6 months left in her program to become an LVN. She plans to continue her education to get
her RN degree.

High School Scholarship Winners
High School Scholarship Winners
May 15, 2025
We awarded $5,000 scholarships to two very deserving young women. Alex Vidaurre will graduate from Richmond High School and will head to U.C. Berkeley in the fall. Alex plans to major in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. She is involved in the M.E.T. Program at Cal. Our other recipient was Naysa Yow Fletcher who is graduating from Hercules High School. She will attend U.C. Irvine and major in Electrical Engineering. Naysa was unable to attend our meeting, so we did a FaceTime call to congratulate her.
