Our Violet Richardson Award was given to Laura Khuu, a student at Hercules High School. She is in her school's Interact Club. Our Violet Richardson Award was given to Laura Khuu, a student at Hercules High School. She is in her school's Interact Club. She is also involved in Project Glimmer, that provides mentoring to girls, Groundwork Richmond's Green Team and Air Rangers program. Like Violet Richardson, who was President of the very first Soroptimist club, Laura, too, feels that it is very important to give back by community service.

Erica McFadden was awarded our Live Your Dream Award. She is the mother of a 3-year-old child with special needs. She has overcome some difficulties and in now on track to graduate from Chico State University with a bachelor's degree in Sociology in the Spring of 2025. Her future goal is to become a community advocate with a

Erica McFadden was awarded our Live Your Dream Award. She is the mother of a 3-year-old child with special needs. She has overcome some difficulties and in now on track to graduate from Chico State University with a bachelor's degree in Sociology in the Spring of 2025. Her future goal is to become a community advocate with an emphasis on children with special needs.

We awarded $5,000 scholarships to three very deserving young women. Manshi Chhetri is graduating from El Cerrito High School and will attend UC Berkeley. Manshi will major in computer science. She plans to go to grad school after finishing her four year degree. Jasmine Flores-Ocampo attends Middle College High School.

We awarded $5,000 scholarships to three very deserving young women. Manshi Chhetri is graduating from El Cerrito High School and will attend UC Berkeley. Manshi will major in computer science. She plans to go to grad school after finishing her four year degree. Jasmine Flores-Ocampo attends Middle College High School. Jasmine's major at UC Berkeley will be Chemistry on a pre-med track. She would like to be an OB-Gyn. Analilia Garcia is an El Cerrito High School student who will attend CSU Bakersfield. Analilia has been accepted into the pre health program to pursue a nursing degree. She plans to specialize in labor and delivery.
